Solitude

Solitude is a prepared piano piece written during the lockdown and height of the pandemic in 2020. It is written about the isolation that I experienced in that time, and the feeling of continuing to stay inside, even after the lockdown was lifted.

The piece incorporates haunting strums of the strings and percussive elements from the pianos interior, written onto a graphic score.
